The panic bolt is mainly used internally for patio and domestic doors to provide extra security. The bolt goes into the ground and/or top of door jamb and locks the door shut from the inside.

It is recommended to use an electric drill and screwdriver for to install the bolt. Gloves and safety goggles are recommended during the installation process
