The door guard is an inexpensive security device to the front entrance door while offering a way to see the outside and communicate with visitors without opening the door completely.

With the door closed, hold the door chain guard in position of around 25-50mm above the door handle. Make pencil marks for the drilling holes. Install the two pieces with fixing screws.
